Frap happy

Although Frappuccino drinks are about as basic and Ugg boots and Victoria’s Secret leggings, these blended coffee drinks are delicious. Put aside your judgment and enjoy one of these cool coffee combinations.

The Starbucks Frappuccino

Starbucks has an official trademark on Frappuccinos, but the word is commonly associated with other blended coffee drinks. Frappuccinos are coffee and at least one other flavor blended with ice, topped with whipped cream, drizzled with sauce and slurped until your glass is empty. Sometimes you can find Frappuccinos bottled in vending machines and grocery stores, but they’re not as enjoyable as the real, icy deal.

What’s in a name?

A Frappuccino by any other name would still taste as delicious. The word Frappuccino comes from frappe, which is the name for a milkshake made from ice cream and cappuccino. Basically, blended coffee drinks under any name are one of the most popular ways to consume coffee, whether they’re called Mochalattes, coffee chillers or Frappruccinos.

One of the things people love about blended coffee drinks is that they come in many different flavor combinations. Next time you’re ordering a frap, a frappe or a Frappuccino, here’s are our favorite flavors.

Vanilla Bean

A Vanilla Bean Frappuccino is the perfect way to combine your childhood with your Starbucks addiction. This Starbucks staple tastes like a creamy vanilla bean milkshake. It’s extra delicious if you order it with a few chocolate chips sprinkled in.

Strawberries N’ Cream

The Strawberries N’ Cream Frappuccino is a summer’s dream. This fruity frap is even blended with real strawberries in it. It’s the perfect way to refresh yourself on a hot afternoon.

Who doesn’t love a salty and sweet flavor combination? A Caramel Frappuccino is a wonderful, slurpable example of those two flavors.

Mocha Frappuccinos were my favorite coffee drink before I even liked coffee. As my first official introduction to Starbucks and the world of morning caffeinated beverages, Mocha Frappuccinos hold a special place in my heart and on my taste buds. The coffee and chocolate flavor combination is life changing.

This drink sounds exactly like what it is: coffee blended with ice and topped with whipped cream. In spite of its simplicity, these Frappuccinos are delicious, especially if you’re a dedicated coffee purist.

We’ve named our top five favorite Starbucks Frappuccinos, but there are several we didn’t cover. It’s up to you to throw on your favorite pair of leggings, grab your furry boots, head to the nearest Starbucks, and slurp through each Frappuccino flavor. Let us know what coffee combinations we missed!
